Have cub engine with pto on it. Works! But, tractor I'm putting it in had a dual belt pto on it I guess. This one is a single. SO....will I need to find a whole diff pto, or should I just run ONE belt? That don't seem right, as it is big deck on this Simp Sun-Star I'm trying to get going. The pto I have DOES line up with one of lower pulleys. Wondering if easy to change pulley part of pto's and just get one that is correct pulley count, or are they too built-in to change? Need brand and numbers from it if I can find them?

I guess I would give it a try with the single
you can always go to the double if needed
the farm king 990's ran a single belt to the
pto running a 54 inch deck

Cub Cadet runs a single to their 60" deck. Heavy wide belt but still a single. I would certainly give it a try first. If you have to what about the pulley off the original engine ?

Cheif, no orig engine, or pulley with tractor. You don't think I would buy a Complete one do you?? hee! Did have same engine one time, just some differences in them between brands I guess. I had it running a bit on tailgate of truck, so should all be good once mounted in, We Hope at least.

well the Cub quietline series ran a single 3/8" wide belt from the PTO to the deck..... doesn't seem like enough "grab" for a 50" deck but they cut like crazy/
