I wouldn't say it is Dells fault as it can happen with any computer, even ones you build yourself. The biggest thing is how well Dell takes care of it and how quickly.

Mother boards are made by different manufacturers, Dell just has them built to their specs. But I have heard of a few Dell motherboards crapping out.

Not bad at all, but I wish they would last longer than they do. But if they last very long, they are outdated & can't keep up anyway! LOL

Or the software/media guys force you to upgrade.
I'm running the business books on a 1999 vintage with windows98. It does the job. Stand alone just for the books. Never crashes, and does
all it needs.
Now we're having a hard time finding 3 1/2" floppies to back up onto, or send to the accountant(who's been keeping a relic alive just for our
old system)
So now I've got to spend$$ and time to upgrade. In the end, I'll rip the hard drive out of the old machine, trash
it, and throw the old box into the dumpster. So now lets talk about recycling/filling the land fills.:wallbanging::wallbanging:

Just venting. I realize times must change, and advance, otherwise we wouldn't have
garden tractors.:D
