I just picked up a Homelite t-8 with a 1600279 deck... and i need new blades.  A google search turned up nothing. Can someone tell me what blades it uses and where I might find replacements? (there are 3 blades)

Also, does anyone know what snowblades fit this model?  Is there any crossover with Simplicity models that I might find fit it as well.

Thanks! And nice to meet you

Welcome to GTT. You should search in our Manuals Section for the manuals for your tractor. You can then compare with other brands. NAPA used to have blades sorted by dimensions. Good Luck, Rick

This deck is the same as used on the Allis Homesteaders.  It does not cross to any Simplicity built decks, and is RH discharge, whereas all the Simplicity decks of the era were LH.

I don't have the info handy, but believe I have a parts manual for my T-8 and deck at home.

I have a parts manual for the tractor, but can't seem to find the mower manual. , It will cross to numbers used by Oregon and such. They are still available. Blade number for the 36' deck on the T-8 should be a 1606971. Takes 3 . Should be Oregon number 91-031. Take your old blade with you to make sure. There are several OEM blades for this on ebay now. Good luck. Those are good little tractors.  Show us some pictures of the tractor and Welcome to the forum.                                                                  Roger.

I'm sorry, you're right!  I was thinking of the larger Allis-built machines having the opposite discharge from Simplicity.  I guess my T-8 and Homesteader decks have been LH discharge!
