Got a carb kit for the Briggs & Stratton model "8" on a VERSAMATIC.

There ware no instructions or pictures with the carb kit and I am wondering if I have an extra piece or if the carb was missing this piece, as I did not see this part when I disassebled it.

The part in question is a small brass ring. It is the same diameter as the new fuel float needle seat and will fit on it and thread into the carb body, but appears to be to high to get the float into place.

it is the small brass ring on the top left of the carb body.

Any/all help is appreciated.

I believe that brass washer should fit on the silver-colored needle valve.  ....It goes inside the adjusting screw nut and tightens against the packing which seals the needle valve.

Edit:  Check out the carb "blow-up" in this parts list:

I thought that might be the place where it goes, but it doesn't slide all the way down on the needle valve.

I think I will try to make this work.

Thanks for you help!
