We have had this issue since the site was first started. I have a suggestion to maybe fix the problem. Instead of uploading the file directly to a post, upload it to the Manuals section (use Misc. Manuals if there is no other place to put it) and post a link in the thread to that file. Hopefully, that will fix the issue and the link will not get lost due to updates and such. We have several threads that have broken links and no way to fix those. It can make a thread totally useless to someone needing that info.

I am not at my computer at home,Taking the extended weekend at Myrtle Beach ,but since this started happening I started putting my stuff on as pictures instead of having some one download a file as all my uploads can not be found but pictures can be from my first ones i posted. Please correct me if i am mistaken

The main thing is that we don't lose files due to broken links. We have one thread right now that nearly every post in it had a file linked in and they are all broken. Here's that one.

But a link to the manuals section does keep working.

I notice that especially with those posting pics with links to photobucket and so on,
AND THEN let the account go dormant... no more pic, :poke:
just so easy to upload the pic here  :dancingbanana:

and especially don't get me started on the craigs list ads,  :mad2:
what's wrong with a screen-shot, use a photo app to 'trim' it up, then upload it here?

just my 2 cents...
