I have looked high and low for a source for wide, 9~10 inch, 15" 4 lug wheels and have yet to find anything suitable with a 5" bolt circle. Can anyone recall any brands that used something similar?

Thanks,

You must have a MTD 990?  Some have changed hubs on them to mount 5-stud wheels, not sure if off little smaller units or where/what, but has been done. Usually to mount 12" wheels and find tires easier. Ask in the MTD forums here.

Pretty close, I need a set for my 999. Have a pair of 29X12-15 Goodyear's that need to go on it. May end up fabbing up an adapter and use 5 lug Ford wheels.

The Wheel Horse 5 lug hubs with the 1 1/8th" axle holes work on the 990's. Problem is a few years ago you could get them cheap but now very expensive.

How about an 8 lug rim off of some of the bigger farm tractors or equipment?  I know the rims on my Wheel Horse 1054 are from the right side of an International hay baler and the opposite side uses an 8 lug which is the same pattern as the 4 lug.                Stewart

Rear rims from New Holland 1210/ Ford 1210 have that rim size, but with a 6 bolt set up.

Sawdust thanks for jogging an old man's memory! I have an 8 speed Uni-Drive complete with 1-1/8" hubs that has sat under a tarp for years out of view, I had completely forgotten about it. Time to break out the hub puller and order some 15X10" Ford wheels.

Thanks again!
