Need to replace or find a re-builder for my 1744401 clutch. Does anyone have ideas for me?

There is a man in Nottingham NH who rebuilds them and knows them inside out. His name is Frank he advertises on NH Craigslist I don't see his ad but I'll find his contact info if you want it

I found him! His phone number is 603-679-3343 and 401 965-2221 . I also found this link on the net.

He lives about a mile from me and helped me out big time on my 1669 clutch coil. Give him a call hopefully he can help you out. He's a good guy.

Husky, thanks for the lead. I will contact him after I check out the coil. See below.

I finally was able to get the clutch off of the engine. The coil measures about 3.1 ohms cold and powers up @ 12VDC on my test bench and is energized as I write this. I will let it get hot to see it if it fails at being a magnet when hot.

Maybe it is OK.
