Picked this neat little tractor yesterday, and with the help from someone on Facebook, I believe they ID'd it as a KEEN? Possibly a Mono? It has a little 3.5HP Clinton motor. I cannot find any type of ID tag on the mower. Any info on it would be greatly appreciated! I searched high and low in the internet and cant really find that much, if anything about them.

Any others out there?

Thanks!

I wouldn't call it a "tractor" but its darn cool!!!

There were a gob and a bunch of companies making "ride-on" mowers similar to that in the 1960's.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe that is a Foote transmission, however they did not make the rider.

You may be able to get an idea of the year of manufacture through the Clinton engine numbers.

I believe it was? That was many years ago, so I'm not 100% sure, but I think it was.

That's a cool little mower.I had a small Craftsman like that with hard tires and 5hp briggs on it.At the time I couldn't find new rear tires for it.The ones that were on it spun on the rims and I tried drilling through the rims and put bolts through but the tires fell apart soon after that.Engine needed rebuilt to.

I liked the hand crank for lowering and raising the deck on the back of it.Mine had an aluminum steering wheel like this old Moto mower. My craftsman badged mower was almost identical to this little fella put painted a dark silver with craftsman 5/21 on the decals and white deck with white rims and solid rubber tires the whole way around.

You need to find yourself one. There like riding a self propelled push mower around. The Rugg mowers were the Cadillacs of those small mowers back in the 60s.Pneumatic tires with cushioned seat and actual foot rests instead of having to put your feet on the deck.

And they hauled butt with the little 3 speed in them lol

Incase anyone's interested in buying a rugg. I wouldn't know if that's a good price or not but appears to be all there at least.
