If this is in the wrong place move it to the right one. Was out over the weekend trying to till my garden with my Troy Bilt mini tiller and the clutch would slip and the tines would stop turning. The ground was very wet and when I would get the tiller in very deep it would stop turning. What are they made of that can these clutches wear out? I have only had it for about 15 or so years. The closest I could find to it is this. Troy Bilt 12097. Thanks for looking.

Any centrifugal clutch will slip when it's overloaded. I doubt it's worn out but being 15 yrs old it could be. Just try not working it so hard in wet soil.
