Ok, my first riding mower, ouch!  I have never seen a mower with left discharge in the front like this.  At first I thought the slide was backwards, but It's not, I know by the view of the house. I don't know what brand of mower but am curious how well it mowed.

We had one of those when I was young. my old man would make me take it to "Chets" small engines, down the hill. and I mean hill! I'd ride it down. more like fly it! somebody must have had a good laugh. It was gold with one of those crank wined briggs. woulda looked cool with flames!

Did the engine run backwards ?  (I know the old Mercury Outboards run both directions.)  Gear drive to change the blade direction?  Twisted belt ?

It must have been cc rotation.  Later I used to have to mow at my grandpa's with a green Lawn Boy model without the front wheel. I hated it. It was alway tipping and scarfing the ground.  Sorry for the incorrect spelling in the first post.

I have heard of people getting two cycle motorcycles to run backwards.
