Ok I know this has been discussed before. I have just installed a used Eaton 10 in my 1556. There was a napa filter 1084 on it. I would like to know what would be the correct filter for this and what is the recommended oil. After reading threw the Eaton manual, it says the filter should be filtering 4.5 GPM. Im thinking the 1084 might be restricting the flow. When I pulled the old pump the oil had that burnt smell to it. I want to make sure I'm using the right stuff.
Thanks

Ok I figured it out. Fired it up and the pump did not hardly move the rear tires when jacked up. Should have known, but had to try.
So now I'm looking for a new pump for a 1556. And the search continues!

I know you stated that the hydro is burned up and not useable but for your info the Bolens filter number is 1719859 and if you put that into a filter cross reference chart the Napa 1084 is one of the filters for it and I know i have used a 1084 on my 1556 when I had one.
