My local goldmine. Where i have been getting Tecumseh parts. Is closing. He has 10 bolens tractors mostly G series and a couple tube frames for 400 bucks for all ten . I just want a solid state or two from the Tecumseh ones to keep for spares. I found out about this today when I went to see him about one. Should I buy all ten because that's the only way I'm getting a solid state now. For my suburban. What am I going to do with them all?

You don't indicate what kind of condition they're in but ten tractors for $400 sounds too good to pass up.  I'd say buy them all, pick out the ones you want to keep, and sell the rest.

I would say mostly complete and fixable condition. Most of them. He kept them separate from the junk riding mowers. He really didn't sell small parts off of them ones

Considering the price that the solid states are going for.....   Yep,  buy them and keep what you need.    Rick

I'de go half with ya if I had a way up there. Even if you only get 2 running and sell them Cheap for $250-$300 each you'll be way ahead. That's a no brainer.

If ya happen to find a good set of 23 8.50 12 tires that don't have any cracks or holes and a set of 16 6.50 8 front tires and rims let me know. I need them for the Wheel Horse 312-8 I just snagged off of Charlie. He's coming back down from Johnstown in about a week to have me hone and rebuild an engine for him as soon as he gets parts so he can drop them off here.

Yep that's where he got it. He better take care of her she's a sweetheart. I think I got the better end of the deal though. Still I'm putting $95 in parts into the 312-8.Just a bunch of little stuff but it adds up real quick.

What did it need? I got that 314a I really like it. I use it to mow with. Had to do some small stuff to it too. Found out I couldn't go wider with back tires my sears ones hit the deck

Wiring needed gone over but I got it starting with the key now. It "had" a goofy electromagnetic neutral safety switch on the shifter that was missing the magnet. That's all that only reason it wouldn't start with the key. I snipped the wires and put a crimp connector on them. Still has the other 4 safety switches and they all work.

It needs a Gas tank, gas tank lid with gauge, exhaust manifold gasket and clutch idler pulley. Found a good used tank for $40 cap with gauge is $18 gasket is $6 pulley $18 and I'm getting a new drive belt since I gota rip 1/2 the tractor apart to change the pulley anyway.

He zip tied a old 8hp vertical shaft briggs gas tank up under the seat.It works but not very big lol.

Darn thing mows NICE.It's not overly powerfull with the 12.5hp OHV Kohler in it but it's a good little tractor. Only has 269 hours on it.Had 264 on it when he dropped it off.I was using it a good bit today.

Mine has all them test lights. I don't think the 312 has them it may. It is a wiring night mare. Should make you a good tractor

No lights but it does have 4 relays,4 fuses and 5 safety switches and a circuit breaker I had to test to figure out which was bad. Went through the whole wiring harness with the ohms meter and test light wire by wire. Figures it was the last thing I tested that was messed up.

buy it all, then do some turning and burning and make some money back plus some.

Too bad I'm not closer, I would be interested in some extra Tecumseh parts.
