Just bought a mf10. Started mowing with it and the belt that goes from the engagement to the deck came off a long with the pulley. It looks like all that holds it on is a key way and a set screw. Is this right. Talked to previous owner and they said it was tight when they put the deck back on it. Looked through the manuals on here and could not find any information on it. Thanks in advance.

I assume you mean the pulley on the deck and not the intermediate (mule drive) pulley under the tractor.
The reason I ask is that step three of the assembly instructions ( http://gardentractor...y-instructions/) removes the one on the mule drive to attach a spring.
Either way, it appears that there is just a set screw and key.

If it does it again, you may have a slightly worn shaft or pulley. and will have to use some thread locker blue on the setscrew.
Continued issues and you will have to install a couple more set screws.

I don't expect you'll have to go thru all that, it's probably just a one time occurrence.

Welcome to GTT. Download all the manuals for your GT from our Manuals Section. Post pics with your questions so that we better understand the problem. Good Luck, Rick
