Took the trans out of the tractor and found out it was a foote 3864 with 3/4 inch axels question can I upgrade to 1 inch axels? Or what is a direct heavier duty replacement? Does anyone have any spider gears laying around trying to lock the rear do not like to weld the gears .

What tractor?  Those transaxles are not always interchangeable. Take the old one out and try to match it to what you want. If you were to use an old Bolens, their rear ends are designed to be tightened so that there is no slip. Good Luck, Rick

I would think you couldnt change them, and with that light of a tractor, you will loose traction before you snap an axle.
