I can find no tags, plates, ID #'s. Can someone please help me identify this tractor? It has a Kohler K301 12hp engine. I had one similar to this 30 years ago and I loved it. I want to do a complete restoration but I really need your help. Thank you

Welcome to GTT. That is an excellant tractor with an excellant replacement engine. It is an early Large Frame Bolens which is my favorite. I have 2. Go to our Manuals Section and you can download the Owners and Shop Manuals in the Bolens Area. Download the Kohler Engine Manual from the Engines area. That K301 is an excellant engine and is very popular. They are no longer made and original parts are getting scarce and expensive. I have a K301 on my bench and am rebuilding it with Stens parts. I will see how they hold up. Relax and enjoy the hobby. One tip: add Marvel Mystery Oil to your gas to help the engine last. One half ounce per gallon or a little more. Good Luck, Rick

Anyone know where I can find a mower deck, pto parts? The whole shaft and pulley assy is missing. I've ordered a complete parts list manual but it won't be here till next week. Should I keep the K301 or try to find a Wisconsin? All advice and comments are greatly appreciated.

I'll assume you're asking about the actual pto shaft that goes thru the front axle & also the 3 groove pulley that goes on That? If so I have one. Also have a second one with bearings on it that are in good shape however, I would recommend buying new ones anyway as long as it's all apart. It's up to you how you want to go about it. As for the deck... sorry but I can't help you there.
