I have at the moment a wheel horse tractor with 23x  8.50 x 12 tires..  will a 23x 10.5x 12 tire fit on same rim?

Yes, they'll fit the rim no problem but IF your 8.50's are real close to the fenders the 10.50's might rub because they'll 'pucker' just a little more even though the sidewall is the same height.

I had 10 wides on the 16 auto went down to 8 wides to increase the psi to the ground.  I don't mow with the 16 auto though nor do I have soft ground.  10's should fit your C120, pretty similar machine to the 16 auto.

Not all brands are the actual size versus what they are branded as, Deestones run smaller than advertised.

I run 23x10.50x12 Deestone ags on my sears, 7.5 or 8" rims. They actually measure out at 22x9.0 mounted. I was a little disappointed, but could not beat the price at the time.
