Great idea for widing the disks. My tandem disks are about 40" wide.

Noel

We'll see how it works when things dry out! Got more rain coming! Got 0.3" yesterday.

Generally a plow was used for turning ground. Will effectively bury the plants growing on the surface. The disk is used to cut the clods and plant matter to make the ground looser and more workable. the next stage is a harrow, to smooth and level. This helps applied water soak in rather than running off. Then comes the seeder or planter. Many farmers hook harrows behind their discs so as to accomplish two operations in one pass. The harrow is the implement that removes the tire tracks. The variations in practice is as wide as the variation in soil type, and human thought. Don

This is how I use my set, after I plow they are used to cut clumps and smooth down ground. I have 2 sets bolted tight together and I weight the second set as heavy as I can. I use my cultivator after I'm done due to not having a rake of sorts to hook behind the disks. Of course this means more seat time for me using 3 different attachments. :dancingbanana: When I'm done I got nice lines and rows and am ready to plant.

Took a pick of my set today for you to see. I got a ball hitch attached to front and all of my GT's have the 1 7/8 ball on them.

Thanks Kenny, my computer went crazy last night or it was the site I should say. I could get other sites to come up but GT wouldn't load. I'll try to get my wife to video for me and show the rototiller at work. LOL
