More like finally getting to this reel mower attachment. I noticed it mingled in with a pile of other things in a posting here, though it wasn't mentioned at that time. Made contact and Rick (Sponsor blackjackjakexxix) made me a sweeeet deal !!!  Members Username & Tractorgarden worked it into a run they made to Connecticut and I met them there for the pickup. Thanks Guys  This was back in 2013/14. Haven't done much to it since other than smile at it in passing by and noticing this slow seepage, which didn't make it prettier or useful where it sat. Kinda made me less smiley over time.

Been doin a little maintenance between the 900 and 650 lately and decided enough was enough and this piece deserved some attention before I picked up neglect charges. So...

1st sighting: reel 1.jpg

got 'er home:

I figure, seals for sure. bearings, washers, grease fittings, gasket, refill gearbox, wood rollers and not sure if I can allow the original patina to remain as is once cleaned up. Don't think Bolens sticker will survive cleaning either. I've read here solutions to replacing the rollers but haven't seen examples...maybe that'll change with this post... :poke:

Anyways, Here we go..

So glad I resisted just hooking it up and running it as found..

Doing a grand job there. Is that reel mower for a 600 or 800 model?

Probably works for all tubers with front PTO but looks like it was matched for the gold roundhoods at the time.

Yes I thought so as the decals look similar to my front plow for my 600. Nice score and how you spotted it in the back of the pick up I just don't know! :-)

Yes you do!  :smilewink:  If you can still find them across the pond, I'd say 'The Fever' lends to keen sight when they do appear, even at a glimpse, you know the window of opportunity comes and goes quickly.

Nice, it's great that it still has the chain guard and shaft guard. I have one that is missing those parts. If anyone has those parts that there willing to part with, please pm me.
