Tecumseh H80. I have a need for one so I can make it into an adapter to use in a drill motor so I can start my chipper/shredder. The flywheel is just too much for this old man to start and I cannot put an electric starter on it for two reasons, 1 no ring gear, 2 tube for chipping is in way. The spring or rope could be broken. thanks.

Is the H80 the same block as the HH60?  if so, many tillers (troy bilt and arien rocket) came with and electric start add-on.  I think you are going to need a big drill to turn the chipper over!

On the kohlers I would use a socket on the flywheel nut. Might work for you.

I am thinking about using a socket and a 1/2" bolt. Saw some on epay for about $20+.

Thanks for moving the thread.

Can you put a pulley on there somehow? If so, maybe a belt drive electric start.
Not trying to change your heading, just give you some wind.
