Nice catch. You're probably on the hook for either an ignition switch or ignition system, but regardless, you won't be upside down in it.

I had to borrow a solid state ignition off of one of my brother's tractors. It runs now but needs a lot of adjustments and a carb rebuild. If you put it in 4th gear and move the vari-drive up on 5  it flies across the yard. I am thinking I will save that gear for when I need to get away from the wife's chore list.

How fast do you figure it goes?

According to the user manual top gear is 8.9 mph. which seems plenty fast.
