Well this one looked horrible and it has proven to be a tough old bird!! The drive belt issue looks to be a dry idler pulley assembly and after removing the brake rod and getting adjustment closer to stock than full tight like dope did it seems fine and no belt jumping off machine?? Engine is running well after valves done and I fixed safety issue so they work. Brakes work and after deck removal we pressure washed underneath and it wasn't terrible under there!? Hydro is working good as well! Carb was acting like clogged idle circuit but after some Sea-Foam and running it is getting better? Looks like a restore in future and I have a red hood in decent shape, might turn it red.

First run after letting Sea-Foam sit in engine.

Worked on it some more. The more it runs the better it seems to. Dad serviced the deck and painted it. I cleaned and mounted tins on engine. Buffed the donor hood and fender pan to see how paint is on both. Now to decide what color to paint it.

Got a ton done yesterday. Found bad muffler and swapped it and straightened the shield. Changed the oil and filter and stripped it for paint. Cleaned gas tank and new fuel line. Painted the dash sides and some of frame. Fender is stripped and primed. Underside of fender undercoated.
