I think it's time to move to a larger tractor and have found one I'm interested in but need to sell my 982 to buy the larger tractor. I'm not sure what to ask for the 982, everything works but the headlights and I can probably get them going tomorrow. Would $3,000 be out of line for an asking price?f45b02117b1ae739a7c2990d0a8bdb75.jpge7faf35a09883c57cb6d884253815cfb.jpg

Looks like its in good condition.  This site has a wanted/for sale section.  You could always place an ad there and see what happens.

Do you have any attachments that would go with the 982?  Around here $3000 is pretty steep for a tractor like that without any attachments.  If I had it here a work I'd probably be hard pressed to get $1000-1500 as it is in the pictures, but that's only because it has the rear pto. that just doesn't show up very often.  I'd put it out there for sale at your price and see what kind of response you get.  You can always come down on the price later but its kind of hard to go up

I don't have any attachments I want to sell with it. I was just guessing at the price. I will think about it and list it soon.

$1800 would be about top buck in my opinion, the rear lift and pto are what add the value. There was one for sale not long ago on eBay that was low hour and in beautiful condition with all the bells and whistles and he only got $1900.

X2  Dad bought a pretty well optioned out one about four years ago in excellent original shape and only gave $1500 for it.  I think the $1800 is about the top you will get for it personally.  I wish you luck in getting as much as you can though.  Like was already said, start hihgh and you can go down from there till you and buyer are both happy.

Thought I would update, ended up selling to a great guy who already had a couple 982's and several other international cub cadet, he was very excited about my 982. Ended up selling for $1,800, so great estimate from you guys.
