What kind of grinder is this used for ?

Looks to me like the blade is clamped onto the top angled fence.  Then run across the grinding wheel at the set angle and sharpened parallel with the blade as supposed to, not at 90° to the cutting edge like a lot of people do.  Be handy to have if one was going to sharpen a lot of blades.

These are used for Hay/Corn choppers to sharpen the cutting blades.  The new field choppers have a sharpener built in. They don't have to remove the blades and reinstall them which is very time consuming.

Those are a PITA too, at least on the JD choppers.  Knives have to be just right or they won't cut or sharpen.  Neighbor had  a JD 3 row chopper that way.  Would take us 2 weeks to get 900 to 1,000 ton chopped.  Now hires it done - Claas chopper 6 rows any direction.  2 1/2 days and have 1500 to 1800 ton chopped.
