I am wondering about the value of the "Model A" panzer.

I have found what I believe to be a model A, in non-running unrestored condition. Curious what the value is both unrestored and restored. The guy won't give me an asking price, but wants me to make an offer.

He also may think it is more valuable than it is, in my opinion. What is a fair price?

I would like the tractor, but also don't want to get ripped.

From the info I've got right now, I'm going to venture a guess somewhere between $50.00 and $1000.00.

Perhaps a photo would help....haven't gone to see it yet because I want to ensure we are at least relatively in the same ballpark for pricing.

Don't have much more info other than the motor is not seized.

check the serial number stamped on the frame, I think it's on the upper right on the tube. they only made 350 of them.

the pictures do help. It doesn't look real hateful but there could still be problems. Hopefully the engine isn't stuck but without it running you don't know condition. I don't like being a buyer and a seller. I would offer him 100.00 and when he says no, I come back with the what will it take to buy it. I would guess 4-600 range but I could be way off too.

I believe it is an actual model a. The serial number is 308 and stamped on the right frame tube. Also the "model a" stamped on the jack shaft housing states it was made in college park, which I believe is another indication.

Anyhow, the guy wants more than I am willing to pay. Tried to negotiate, but says he wants 1k

If it was mine I wouldn't sell it for any less either, that's a lot less than the last model a I saw sell in worse shape. it's a shame it's sitting out as yard art

Well I am going to keep in contact with him, so maybe I will have to go physically look at it. This would help verify the model and condition. Then maybe I would pay his asking price.

It is a shame its been sitting outside for years.
