Serial # on my MF # 10 is 1446028057. If I just use the 14460 it's a 1968. If I use 28057 would that make it ac 76 ? Not sure how to read it.

Why can't these shifty manufacturers just stamp 1976 on there? Why do you have to have the decoder ring to work on the thing?
