I got to work on, and got running 1 of the 317's Dad and I have gathered up. Took it to a small job we had to do yesterday, did some back filling with it. The tractor runs very well, and has lots of power. I think to use the front blade, it needs power steering, LOL.

Here's a couple pictures of Dad pushing some dirt with it, hard to do being we're working on sand.

Nice to see the 317 working. I was surprised at the power my 314 has. The hydros on these machines are strong. Up here in Canada we are struggling to break 70 on a sunny day. Yesterday was nice with a temp in the low 70's and I got to work on my 314 and sanded the fender deck. We have had a wet cool spring and are hoping for a nice summer.

That's something that is different about GT Talk. Comments are made without bashing a brand or color. Everyone is willing to help on all GT's. I love it here.

nice tractor. i like and work on all of the older models. right now im restoring a 124 but i have a 112 that might eventually make it up the "restore line". does that 317 have a series I or was it replaced with a series II. if its a series I, i dont recommend running it on much of a grade. they had allot of oiling problems with early KT17 engines, their oiling system is poor and as a result they tend to eat rods. still, nice tractor. 300 series deere tractors are very strong indeed. if you want power steering it was offered on the 318
