love the gas cap zoom into the pic, seriously if you going to waste paint at least put a little effort into taping stuff off at least

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/142296342382

Sheesh and $458 for parts? Good Grief. And that Paint is absolutely horrible. I don't see 1 part on it that was primed or sanded. If your going to leave the old paint on it atleast try to smooth out the rusty spots and blend it in a bit.

I can get a full Genuine Kohler K181 rebuild kit with valves, valve guides, connecting rod, piston, rings and complete gasket kit for around $225 or go on ebay and get an aftermarket Kit with the same parts for $115 shipped to my door.

Lipstick on a turd can look decent it applied correctly but that one is just a Turd. :wallbanging:   :rolling:

$820 for a motor rebuild?  Seriously?  It would have been nice if he had tried taking it apart and doing some prep before he rattle can painted it.  Not knocking a rattle can paint job but.....this one is bad.   you do get a massage when you drive it tho!

I guess Wal*Mart didn't have enough paint for him to do the steering wheel too.

Some people should not be allowed near a spray can. I think the fumes got
to him with the price. I would be so embarrassed to show it or present it to anyone like that.

Must be one of those guys that takes a 94 Honda Civic, cuts down the coil springs in the struts, adds a four inch exhaust can on the exhaust system and calls it a tuner car. I wouldn't let that guy restore a dog house, let alone a classic garden tractor.

I dunno....'One Cool Show Tractor' .... I couldn't stand next to it with a straight face.

I like the model !

jd.jpg

Restored?? Where did he get the wrinkle coat paint ? Is that original finish?

I am just trying to understand this from his point of view . Can he not see what is wrong with this picture.

Like no one will notice that he couldn't remove the shifter knob before painting and just painted over it?

...shakes head...
