I make a lot of baking powder biscuits. They're an easy, no nonsense dessert, wonderful warm out of the oven with butter and honey, and if you like strawberry shortcake they can be a great alternative to the extra "short" cake. So today there was a bag of frozen raspberries showed up when I went freezer diving. I thought they'd do fine instead of strawberries on the biscuits. In the fridge.... no fresh cream!! But there is Greek yogurt. Went to the cupboard for baking powder, and ..... how 'bout that, Fry's Cocoa right beside the baking powder. Made the standard baking powder biscuits, added two tablespoons cocoa and a good quarter cup sugar to the dry ingredients, mixed it all up and tossed them in the oven. They turned out perfectly. With a split chocolate biscuit on the bottom of the bowl, a big spoonful of yogurt next and topped with juicy, sweetened raspberries, I think I've come up with a winner!

I like buttermilk baking powder biscuits but the wife says I make to much of a mess when I make them. Great with gravy too.
