Went to get the zero turn today (mowin seasons comin up), realized i left the key on by accident, ok. No biggie, jumped it then looked at the hour meter.

Now my 57 hr machine has 99 hrs on it and my warranty is up at 120.

To me that says an awful lot about the confidence in their product,

If you were confident in it, why is the warranty so low, at 120 hours?

Thats probably figured for [roughly] 2 and a half years of mowing for a home owner and not being used commercially.

Yeah, its a homeowner model, but i wasnt gonna drop 7k+ for a mower for a business that may or may not of took off.

I only mowed 5 yards last year, 7 this year, so its not like im really "commercial" some of those guys run in a day what i run in a month

Usually when we try to beat the system it comes back to bite us one way or another.  If you get paid for mowing other peoples yards, your commercial.  Don't make any difference how many hours you run. Your home owners insurance liability won't cover you either.

My zero turn has about 120 ghost hours on it, I've done that several times.

I bought a '97 derby about 7 years ago with a busted motor and 444 on the clock. I replaced the engine and have left the key on several times and it still shows 444.

I've not tried this but what would happen if you reversed the polarity on the time clock?
