Will a 18 x 9.50x8 tube work in 20x10x8? was i lied to by Co op?

HI,went to my local co op to get a tube for a 20x10x8 rear mower tire.The kind gentleman behind the counter told me that a 18x9.50x8 tube will work.He said they used it for 20''s before.I don't see how this is going to work but will try if anyone has used one before.Seems to be it will be too tight for the tire and the tire will not be fully inflated and cause the mower to deck to be unlevel.

Should work with no problem.  The tube will stretch that much.  Only 1/2 " in width and 1" each side for height.

It'll be fine plus less of a chance getting a wrinkle in the tube.

Yes that tube will work fine. It will inflate big enough to fill up the tire safely. The 8 measurement is the one you have to be concerned with which is the rim diameter. Hope this helps.

i worked in a tire shop when out of high school...that will work , no problem
