Where do I hook up the positive battery cable on a Massey 12 hydro?

I have the one end figured out... on the positive post of the battery😂

On the solenoid if it has one, or if it is a magneto ignition, the key switch.

You better get a manual for your tractor and learn to read a electrical schematic.

One on the the Solenoid's big terminals..   Another small red wire also hooks up with it on that terminal.  (the primary power wire)  It usually goes to the key switch..

The other big terminal on the solenoid goes to the starter..

Download the manual from our Manuals Section and study the wiring diagram. The cable usually goes from the positive terminal to a big lug on the starter solenoid. The other lug has a cable going to the starter. First thing to do is disconnect the ground cable from the battery. When working on a 12 volt battery system, always disconnect the ground cable before starting the work. When the work is done, connect the ground cable last. This will prevent accidental shorting out while working on it. Post some clear pics when you have questions. Good Luck, Rick
