Outside this afternoon putting the spare tire carrier on new trailer, my daughter wanted to come out with me and leg around on her scooter, can't find her helmet, Mom ( make her the bad guy ) shuts it down, Dad to the rescue, now she won't give it back :)

Two points for your wife. Very cute hard hat but, it won't protect her head like a bike helmet. The bike helmet will protect from the side. I know I'm being an old fuddy duddy but I've seen two kids with head injuries that could have been avoided with helmets. Two friends survived high speed(one over 80 mph) motorcycle accidents because their leathers and helmets did what they were supposed to. The safety equipment is cheap insurance. Good Luck, Rick

Cute little girl.  I agree with Rick, a bike helmet is much better protection.  Does that helmet have a chin strap?  Couldn't tell in the pic's.  If not then if she fell it would fall off her head and really not protect her.  Like Rick I'm also an old fuddy duddy, but also the safety officer in our local riding club chapter, so I tend to look at safety in a different perspective.  Hope she enjoyed her time with Dad and had a good time.
