Getting ready to sell my 224 Ingersoll case its a 1986. All original except the seat looks pretty good yet, has 44in mowing deck. New rears. What would a fair asking price be?

It varies, of course. Where you live matters.
As low as $700 as high as $1,100.
Check local Craigslist ads and remember if it is over a week old, that is the price and or condition they don't sell for.

Got to one of the Case/Ingersoll dedicated sites and look through the archives of Craigslist and related ads. This should give you a real idea of what your machine should sell for.

It's a nice machine but I feel 700 to 1100 is a little high for a 200 series. If they bring that, I gotta real nice 226 for sale. That's 400 series range. You'd probably do better around 400 to 650 as long as it runs, drives, and mows.
