And the stupid thing tries to land in my backyard.

http://minnesota.cbs...ornadoes-march/

I lost seven 60-70' white pines, fell onto the county road. Had to wait for the storm to blow thru before I could fire up the chainsaw. County Sheriff and local FD on scene by then. Next town over sent out the payloader with a plow to help clean up once we got it cut up. Road blocked for an hour and a half.

What it used to look like: the trees snapped off in the first pic are the ones to the right in the second pic.

Minor roof damage, tree house will need work also.

Everyone is fine.

I have been in one of those back in 78, and I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy!!!

Glad you are OK!

In the 2nd pic I posted, there are four trees to the left. Two singles, then two big ones right together. The one farthest to the left went on the road, the next one tipped into the two big ones tight together. They are all leaning now, it is wet, and the frost is almost completely out. The wind is supposed to be 25-30 by morning, gusts to 50-60 by noon. Those will not be standing tomorrow.

The trees are in the right of way, it is the county's issue. I would take the day off tomorrow and start on the cleanup, but I have my HAZMAT refresher. We'll see what they leave for me to do when I get home at 5.

Came through here as a cold front. Temp. dropped about 15 degrees in a short time. Checked the radar about an hour later and it looked like someone in your neck of the woods might see something like you did. Glad you came out of it OK.

Thank God your ok! I have never been in a Tornado but the weather has been bringing these type storms up to the Northeast a lot more of late. Last week we had a few tornado warned storms blow through. God willing this is your last brush with one!

Winds are cranking up. Started out of the south, slowly switching around to out of the west. 20 mph now and rising. The three pines that are leaning are doing just that yet, leaning. Temp dropped 40 degrees overnight, and we're getting snow.

Glad you are ok - trees will grow back.  Guess not all winter days are full of sunshine down your way either.  Take care and be safe.
