Tulip Poplars and Maples all out in bud ( Sun thru the trees made getting pics difficult) anyways had some saws I wanted to try out. The little Stihl 171 was a pawn shop find which is always hit and miss, this one was a hit, like new very little use , runs as a Stihl should. The Jonsered was a EPA crapped up 50cc pro saw that couldn't get out of its own way. It received a NOS older style flat top piston, (it had a dished out low compression one), a ported muffler and an adj. carb, ran tank of fuel thru it , it is a nice cutting 50cc saw now. Stihl 026 pro another 50cc ,fresh off Woods port, a high speed sprocket, lightweight 28" bar with Picco PS3 Stihl Chain, impressive what that little chain will do by spinning it at a higher speed, better yet all but eliminates bending over when bucking a log.

I run a stock Stihl 026 for all of my fire wood cutting. Nice light saw. I run a 20" bar.
