The motor in my Dad's 1979 PK 1614 blew a rod and cracked the block. Looking for a running replacement to swap it out with. Please let me know if anyone has one they can part with. Thanks
Welcome to GTT. You can check with our sponsors. The engine might be saveable with brazing and rebuilding. I've usually had to buy an entire machine to get a good Kohler engine. Good Luck, Rick
Thanks boyscout862 & LilysDad for the replies. A very good friend is also a tractor mechanic and he said that given the type of crack and placement, he is not comfortable trying to reuse the block in any means. We are also looking to sell it once, or if, we get it fixed. So I don't want to half fix it and then pass future potential problems onto someone else, especially when that someone else may be someone we know. Close knit community!! As far as the M321, I didn't know that, but I'll look into that. thanks!!
That one will have the small oil pan no mounting ears like I think the PK engines do anything that has a model number with an a or as or AQS after the k321 won't work.
