Got a chance to buy one the guy says it needs carb work and the deck and machine is in great condition, kinda far away,120 mile round trip. Is it worth it

Really can't tell without a price.

I wouldn't go 120 miles for it if it was free but to each his own.

Good luck with whatever you decide

The MTD I picked looked good, but all the parts needed to get it in usable condition are adding at least $150 to the cost!

Not for a Crapsman would I go 120 miles round trip.  But I have drove a lot further after a Bolens with a couple extra items.  Just my opinion.

Contacted him he went back up to 400,he said he could part it out for a lot more than that, why would he part out a gt that only had carb Issues? I told him good luck with that,no wonder it's been in offer up for over 4 months, by the way, he said it looked like new, well the pics I seen didn't look like it was new, maybe back in 2003.lmao.this guy is a idiot or scammer, my guess both

I think mine is designated DLS 3500. Ran and drove when I picked it up free. Worked on it some, now it still smokes a little but mows fine. I would give $50 for another one delivered. Don
