If you have an ohmmeter you can check it to see if it was damaged. You should read a low resistance like 3 or 4 ohms on the 12 volt side and read a high reading like 10K ohms to the HV (spark Plug wire).
If the 2 12v wires were connected backwards it probably did not damage the coil.

You can save JPG files as a manual, or you could convert it to a PDF & upload it. Maybe put it in the engines area.
