Up for sale is an Ariens S-16 parts tractor. I'll be bringing it home in the next week or two. I'm pulling the engine out to keep and need to move the rest along. I don't know much about the tractor other than it has been sitting for about 4-5 years.

Asking $100 for the tractor minus engine and located in McDonald Pa

What shape is the fenders in? Any cracks around the hinge? Does it have the rear PTO and 3 point? Asking because I was offered a S14 with 50' Fab deck pretty cheap and it needs the fender replaced.S14 has the top arms for a 3 point and the lift lockout. He also has a New Holland S12? that has the rear PTO but I don't want to buy a whole tractor just to pull the PTO out of it.

Eric, most of the "S" models I have seen do not have the rear PTO.  It was optional though.  The direct drive rear PTOs they used on the "S" series wouldn't be too difficult to fabricate.

Farmerall, make sure you leave the driveshaft adapter with it in case someone wants to repower it.  It looks to be complete and not in bad shape.  I would be all over it if you were closer.

No 3pt and I doubt it has a pto. Fenders have been repaired in the hinge area.

Why parting out? (Or at least separating the engine from it?)

I have no use for the tractor. I figure I can pull the engine and maybe keep it as a spare for my JD140 then junk the rest.

I think it's ok but I think some of the relays are bad. I'll look and let you know tomorrow.
