I just purchased my first wheel horse rj 58 today. I'm not very familiar with them and was wondering if any of you can help me learn more about them. I am hoping to restore it as original as possible. My first question is it has a split rim setup on the front wheels. Most I've seen has a wheelbarrow style wheel. Was the split rims a different option? Any info would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. Hopefully some of the Wheel Horse guys can help you out. We may want to move this to the Wheel Horse forum but we'll see what kind of response you get here first.  http://gardentractor...-tractor-forum/

Go to the top of the page. Third tab from the left, Manuals. Check under Garden tractors/implements for a manual for your machine. Welcome to the forum. Don

It is mostly complete. A couple things I know it is missing are the belt guards and the heat shield for the exhaust. Hopefully they wouldn't be to hard to find

There are repop guards on ebay but they really aren't that nice from the pics. I did see a stainless exhaust shield that looked real nice, otherwise expect to pay around $60 to $100 each.

Take a look at Red square forums a dedicated WH forum for parts you may need.

You may have something a little more special than an RJ58 if those front wheels are original to that tractor! Please post some pics as I would live to see exactly what you have!! What kind of engine does this thing have? I just bought a barn find RJ58 about a year ago that has a 4hp Kohler engine. I will attach a picture so you can compare the two. The last one is an Ad for an RJ58. Hope this helps!

I'm thinking RJ 35 with split rims. No expert though. Red square wheel horse forum would be helpful

Here's a picture of it. It didn't come with a motor, but I have a original style Clinton to put on it. I spoke with the guy to arrange a time to pick it up and he said he may have other parts to go with it
