Seller....."affordableuseditems".    :smilewink:  Sellers always remove all the items needed to make an engine run, like carbs, coils, sometimes covers, then say it is a "runnable" engine. Sure it is, after you spend another $200 putting back all the removed items!  Why can't they keep the system complete when selling?

I don't know, it was on cl, I emailed them, said it was worth 50 bucks, missing a lot of parts, can't prove it run. He said some were on ebay for that much. I only seen his, then he took it off cl.yea any engine will have compression when you dump 90 weight gear oil down the spark plug hole lol

But the seller was told that it ran = ran when parked

150 psi compression no problem with a bunch of oil to seal up the rings.

After he sells it the carb will be listed , like Glgrumpy said.

I should have said IF it sells.

Should have asked the guy if he buys used cars and trucks for top dollar just by looking at a pic of it.

Just my 2 cents here, this guy is getting lots of free publicity for this from you guys. We all know it is overpriced and will never sell, leave it alone and ignore it. When you see crap like this just simply look the other way and keep going, best that way.

If it is priced to high

Just pass it by

If it is more than you want to pay

Simply ignore it and walk away

Yeah it seems like everyone these days wants to sell the long block separate from the rest of the motor, they think that they will get more money parting them out than to sell them in a useful format as in WHOLE. I can understand if the motor's blown up or otherwise not serviceable but to part out a complete workable runnable engine is ridiculous.
There's a K301 on Chicago Craigslist that has been on forever that has a busted rod and no carb, etc and the idiot still wants $100. Looks like a Cub cadet version.
