Yeah, they got hacked as was said. They did offer new hard to use password, but was temp one for you go get on and THEN you set your own password to come back in on. Maybe you missed that part??  I haven't been back in awhile tho, have to look again.  I used the sight more for big MM tractors, the didn't even have GT's when I first joined. I bet most of it is now used for GT's  and not so much for the big ones. The MM forum is kinda dead anymore. Course always JD and IH guys on there to keep it all going. One thing I always thought was they had Too Many forums to keep eye on, even off-topic stuff. BUT, this one now has that too, so guess is the norm.

I quit them because at times when I wanted to reply to a thread the text would get reeeealy slow to appear as I typed. Took it up with site support and they kept giving solutions to the problem that didn't seem to work for me and averred that the problem was on my end. When I pointed out that theirs was the only site I had this problem all I heard was crickets. So I just told them goodbye.

Way to laggy over there. Also last time I stopped over there were Adds plastered all over the place.Really hard on the eyes trying to dig through and find anything especially that mess of a Manuals section.

I reconsider and I finally got back in last night with their pass word. I will not be around there very much in the future. I like the simplicity of this site and it is easy to get manuals. The people here are second to none.

I was able to get back in alright when they changed the password but I forgot to write the new password down and couldn't remember it the next time I tried to get in, so I haven't been back there since.

The owner of GTTalk.com can go ahead and print that portion of his post out. Read it everytime before you start working on this site, or discuss possible 'upgrades'.

(I used quotes on the word upgrades, but maybe I should of used the following)

I had problems after they gave me a new password to log in with. It was a major hassle to get it all straightened out. Since I found this site, I rarely go there. I use the small engine section there mostly. I had posted questions in the Craftsman section and got a lot of static for my question. They fancied it all up and I don't care for it. I also really like the simplicity ( no pun intended ) of this site!

I do go there sometimes, but not like I do here. This is the better site by far for what I am interested in.

Back when they suddenly changed the passwords, I did get back on OK with their issued password once I figured out what they had done. And why anyone would want to hack a tractor site is beyond me, so I thought that their reaction to it was WAY overboard. It was not like I had sensitive personal information stored on MTF, for crying out loud.

BUT, once I was back in, I tried to reset my password back to the one I could remember and had used all along and the site would not let me do that. So I had to create a new password that I cannot remember easily, so I had to write it down, which is precisely what you should not do. Oh, well!

I migrated over here nearly 6 years ago! Fell in love with what was happening and they'll have to pry my fingers off the mouse to bury me!

I also had trouble with MTF, I have to say that Austen helped me get back in, I use the pw they gave me, I was wondering what happened to Deerlope ? He was good on Bolens tractors.

Seeing this and went back to look.  I have file of passwords and special questions for all my sites. It was correct and got right on. I DO see the sight is diff progam now, more like seeing at other sites anymore.  That was kinda weird, they need diff background and fonts I think.  Anyway, went back to the MM and PK places and such I always look at and was seeing my postings from long ago, just like I made them yesterday, heh!  Guess not much action there on some of forums anyway.

You folks can't get in there and I can't get rid of them. After all this time, I still get the occasional email update of an old thread.
