I have an A/C B12 differential problem. The outer ring gear is worn out. I was

wondering if there is a way to just lock the differential,or maybe someone knows

where i can buy one. This is the gear that is pinned onto the hub. Any help

would greatly appreciated.

A hot welder is what we used to usein the old Demo cars. Crude, but works. Never busted a rear, just other small parts

Key was heating it up before burning it it.
Now, the turning radius sucked, but it worked .

Welcome to GTT. You can replace or rebuild the rear. Check with our Sponsors for the parts. Look in our Manuals Section for the Manuals that you need. That transaxle was used on many AC and Simplicity tractors. There are of thousands around. Check your local scrap yard. I've bought nonrunning tractors of those models for $50 to use for parts. Good Luck, Rick

I wouldnt lock it, thats just  gonna make it difficult to use.  Look around for parts or maybe even a donor tractor, the trouble you are gonna have is this is a fairly common problem on these tractors.  I have had to replace two or three over the years.
