Hi, new guy here.

Just got an 18hp. Lots of questions to come!

First one..... where can I find info on the Briggs & Stratton? #'s are 0137 01         84042412.

All I can find from searching is it's 1984.

The tractor #'s are: Model 53073A 47842

                               Serial 4115E1 464

Any info would be appreciated

Griff..

The engine numbers you posted look like the type and date codes.  There should be another number that is the model number.

Anyhow, the engine date code indicates it was made April 24, 1984.

Thanks for the info.

I have searched for the drive belts,  i'm still not sure if i'm seeing the correct ones.

The numbers have long since worn off the ones on it, and they do seem thin for the application, sitting low in the pulleys. Perhaps not the correct ones anyway.

Any help gratefully received.
