White, white and more white LOL.

I restored dad's Bolens 1053 a while back ago. I wrote a little article on it. I will get a link and post it up.

Here is a factory Brochure pic for reference as well.

There are a few places to get decals from. Some are exact match's in lettering and quality and some and "not so exact" to the original Bolens decals.

It all depends on how much you want to spend.
What brand of paint were you thinking on using?

My 1973 Bolens 1254's factory body paint spec is "beige enamel". The photo of the 1253 shown in the brochure provided by Bolens 1000 also looks to be beige enamel.

We got the decals for dad's 1053 through Maple Hunter because of it having the foil. Sam's and Sonnys has them too I believe but the are more expensive. I can't say which ones are better though.

well I am not sure what kind of paint I am going to use but I wouldn't like to spend over 30$ it may be cheap but I only payed 100$ for the whole tractor QUOTE=Bolens 1000;70032]Here is a factory Brochure pic for reference as well.
