IMO Rebuilt 482 IMO lends credence to asking price.

Probably a later 01 unless that engine has been changed to a K532 that I have feeling it has. Need the serial and modal off it I can tell more. The steering wheel is a replacement looks kinda like the one you can buy off ebay new or he replaced it with a early modal wheel. The hydraulic control has been reworked from what I see never seen that setup before.

Interesting controls. A little hard to tell if you push them in to actuate or if they're mounted on an up/down swivel joint.
Edit: Also, I don't recognize the black decal located below those two controls either.

Hello, I am the owner of this subject Bolens 1886 listed on craigslist
Model number: 1886-02
serial number: 4390
Yes it is not all original. The previous owner installed a single cylinder dash tower and Cross brand hydraulic valve. As stated above, the installation and control levers look very well done (although much stiffer to operate than original). Both the center implement lift cylinder and the front and rear hyd remotes work perfectly.
For full disclosure, I purchased this 1886 from an estate sale south of Union Grove for $200. At time of purchase, 1 connecting rod was thrown and the oil pump driven gear was ground off.
I personally rebuilt the engine
- had crank turned .010" under with new rods
- bored .010" over with new pistons
- new valves and ground seats
- new plane bearing in the block
- reused the crank roller bearing in cover
- used oil pump from ebay
Yes there are engine tins and dipstick tube from an HT20 installed, since I had them from another parts tractor. I find the HT engine tins keep the operator much cooler.
And Yes, I can provide receipts for the engine rebuild
If you want an all original collector's item, this tractor is not it
If you want a good running, workhorse that will get the job done then, that is what you will get. I have used this unit to clear my driveway for the last 2 years.
I am selling because I've completed another Bolens large frame project

I was thinking this was the case, as the left hole would have been where the height indicator dial was located on the single cylinder Large Frames. Looks like a nice conversion. Welcome to GtTalk and good luck with your sale.
