My mate, Chris, was having a bit of a sort out and decided to move a few implements on including his Haban Flail Mo. As he was coming down my way he bought the Flail with him. To ease the cash flow I swapped one of my front plows plus cash adjustment for it. It will need some work but these are as rare as hen's teeths here in the U.K. For the moment I am storing it until I can get around to sort it.

I have restored 2 of them and from what I can see you are missing a lot of pieces. But hey at least you have a place to start.

I have not had the chance to have a look at mine in detail yet. Be great to see details of your Haban.

Brilliant swap Andrew, I also am lucky enough to have a flail mower for tubular frame. Mine is not attached to a tractor at the moment, but from what I can remember you are missing a couple of mounting brackets. I will take a pic for you and post it tomorrow night. They are seriously heavy and in my opinion will need hydraulic lift kit fitted

Thanks Dave. Photos will be great!

As for rarity, I now know of two others TF Haban Flails in the U.K. Dave and Iain and now mine (formerly Chris's). I am sure there are a couple of more knocking about in various states of decrepitude!

I never think to get any pics before or during the time that I am restoring one of these. This is for a large frame tractor. I had to make a new rear roller and I used 3" electrical conduit. Haban was really thinking when they designed it because this model has a double angle belt on it. You can also take the tension off the belt and related bearing ,sheaves and idlers when not in use. I did a lot of searching to find flail cutters that all most fit it. I had to have the mounting hole in them repunched .

Nice find, it will be a great attachment to have. Don't seem to see a lot of them around.

Yes very pleased with it. Need a bit of work but hopefully it will be sorted this year and mounted to my H16.

Another photo of the Flail mo from when Chris owned it. I am trying to figure out if the rear flap is missing on the mower. I will have a good look at the machine on Saturday to see what needs doing.
