It's "almost" guaranteed the crank will be tapered.

Welcome to GTT. What is bad about the original engine? They are usually worth rebuilding. You can download the Kohler Manual from our Manuals Section. Good Luck, Rick

 Welcome to the forum! I look in the parts manual for the K321. The EP is for Electric Plant. The spec # doesn't show in there, so I'm with olcowhand!

Swap your crank from the 16 to the 14. They share the same stroke and balancing. Are they the same oil pan style? Large oil pan has bolts from the topside into the oil pan. Small oil pan or "A" bolts to the block from the bottom.

You can make an adapter to fit the tapered shaft

Since this tractor uses the crank for the front pto clutch, would an adapter fit in? Hydro is off the flywheel side.
