That post on being slow made me realize I did not post about the kinda mistakenly bought LT2000. I found it on CL last Monday and emailed owner. The lady wanted $200 and I offered her $150, she was upset saying she had it listed for $400 before lowering it!? By her ad it needed work but we like those machines. She made it sound like it ran, but been through the lie game! Make arrangements to get to her home later Tuesday afternoon due to her working nights. While getting there the nor'easter came back onto land in her area hitting it with heavy sleet! We had much fun driving to her home and sleet covered driveway. We look at machine in a rush as storm is making roads real bad, she was on top on mountian and we already had to hit 4X4 switch. Struggle to load it as ground and her garage floor got real slick. Long story short the machine was in worse shape than pics showed. Rusted through fender pan, deck was shot rusted through by spindles ,spindle shafts stars ruined. Engine very packed with mouse nest and was in need of service. Thank God we wound up having the parts needed including fender pan and deck. New engagement cable was needed and was handy. In little under a week it went from trash to almost a new looking machine! Dad repainted the whole machine frame and all. Today it went back together some. Needs work still but here is another custom paint tractor. Was going for stock paint job but gold was hard to find so made a little improvement!

Dad's birthday is today and he finished the machine. The rear tires need swapping and small adjustments and much needed running. It is snowing here so no running, just move it into shed! I sure am proud of him, 74 and going strong Praise God!

Thanks guys! Was ill yesterday and weather wasn't great. Going to take him out to breakfast and maybe scrounge up some money to buy him a gift. Lawyer said yesterday that at hearing on Thursday might go well for me. God I hope so!

Beautiful transformation, Eric! Please give your dad my regards and a happy birthday wish. It was a pleasure meeting him. A true gentleman.

Also, all the best with your hearing

Dad swapped the rear wheels out and replaced the deck engagement handle, spring broke on it, not surprised! Reason the safety kicked on me was no spring action to keep it tight. Glad we have spares for almost everything broke on this tractor! Next issue is deck idler is sticking so blades stay on a little after turning them off?
