She runs!

Was definitely a unique feeling firing up a NOS shortblock for the first time ever!

Now have to hope the decals come in soon!

Second to none restoration.. not much more to be said about it IMO. All that work could only bring a smile to the face every time you walk by it. Super nice job, congrats.

Now I have to do some touch ups on some parts that always get a bit scratched during re-assembly, once the decals are in I'll put them on and lastly the chrome hood ornament goes on for the finishing touch

Very nice job - sounds like it just came off the showroom floor.  Are you working on a shop to house all your nice tractors and attachments?

Some day I hope to buy an old store front to showcase and store my restored machines and inventory.

Here's an interesting thought when it comes to some of the Bolens colors. Remember that the Cordovan (metallic brown) used in the late 1960's was actually an AMC color from the mid-1960's. And it seems that some of the whites used are Ford Wimbledon White.

So today, I got the latest issue of Hemmings Classic Car magazine. In it there is an article on a rare 1958 De Soto Adventurer convertible. The thing that struck me about it? The color. It is called Adventurer Gold, and at least in the magazine pictures it is a dead ringer for the gold that Bolens used in the early 1960's, a few discreet years later.
